Can't see Paul on stage at Desert Trip? Don't panic! You can view it online HERE!

Hello and welcome to the October issue of 'What's That You're Doing?'

Well, phew! October has been quite the month for us here at PaulMcCartney.com. Just as we were starting to get used to the London cold setting in, Paul invited us along to the first of his two Desert Trip concerts in Indio, California... where it was 36 degrees celsius!

Paul took to the stage on Saturday 8th October to around 75,000 very excited fans (including us!). Kicking off with 'A Hard Day's Night', Paul packed in a career's worth of music, from The Quarrymen's 'In Spite Of All The Danger', right up to 'FourFiveSeconds'. Paul also brought out Neil Young for a rendition of 'A Day in the Life', which segued into 'Give Peace A Chance'. The pair then continued the fun by performing The Beatles' classic 'Why Don't We Do It In The Road?'.

How do you follow up such a huge gig? Well, if you're Paul you play a show for 300 lucky fans at Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace! Paul announced the gig - just down the road from the Desert Trip venue - in the morning and the lucky few hundred fans that got in were treated to the most intimate gig on the whole of the 'One On One' tour. We wish we'd still been in town to watch this one!

And then how could you possibly follow the first Desert Trip gig? Invite Rihanna up on stage for a duet! The pair performed their huge single 'FourFiveSeconds' during Paul's 15th October gig to a rapturous crowd, again 75,000 in number!

We were also super lucky to have Mary McCartney do a take over of Paul's Instagram account that night, and her intimate portraits sum the night up perfectly!
